We’re looking for members of the university community to join the University of Jyväskylä’s own model database! We want authentic people from our university to appear in our visual content. We’re looking for models of all ages, appearances, and sizes. You don’t need to be a professional model – the most important thing is an open-minded attitude.
We use the models registered in our database for various photo shoots. The photos and videos are used in the University of Jyväskylä’s communications and marketing, including online, in print, and on various social media platforms. We organize photo shoots throughout the year with professional photographers. Shootings are mainly held on our own campuses. The duration of a shoot can range from one hour to full-day projects. A written agreement is always drawn up for the photos. A small compensation will be offered for participating in the photo shoot (staff: a gift card to the university’s brand merchandise store), according to the project.
Joining the model database does not commit you to anything. We always ask in advance if you’re available to participate in photo shoots. We’ll provide the necessary instructions and schedules before the actual shoots. You’ll mainly wear your own clothes during the shoots, but props will be provided as needed.

We'll ask you to provide the following information about yourself:
- Name
- Municipality of residence
- Phone number
- Age
- What is your connection to the university (e.g., student, alumnus/alumna, employee)?
- A photo of yourself
Note: We are also happy to accept applications from children. For applicants under the age of 18, we require parental consent and contact information.
