The global ranking for JYU’s research in Education was 101-125. It was the second highest in Finland, as previously. This list included altogether 703 universities from around the world.

In arts and humanities, JYU was ranked in the 201–250 range, among the best universities in the world. The position remained the same as in 2022. Among Finnish universities, JYU came third.

Social sciences moved up to 251-300 and business and economics continued to rank between 301-400. Physical sciences and clinical and health were ranked between 401 and 500 and computer science between 501 and 600.

“The subject-specific assessments focused on teaching and research as well as citations of publications,” says Anna Grönlund, Head of Internationalization and Higher Education Policy. “In addition, external funding and international aspects were taken into account. In these assessments, publishing activity and internationalisation receive the most weight.”
