Anne Soini is a Docent in Early Years Physical Education at Tampere University and she has a PhD in Health Sciences and an MSc in Sport Sciences from the University of Jyväskylä in Finland.
She is a University Lecturer in Physical Education in the Department of Education at the University of Jyväskylä. Her research focuses on physical activity, well-being, and health promotion in young children and their families, as well as early years' physical education.
The ongoing multidisciplinary research projects are as follows:
1. The holistic role of playgrounds in supporting physical activity, well-being, and daily life for young children and their families.
2. Self-efficacy in physical education teaching among early childhood preservice teachers.
3. Comparative analysis of national regulations on ECEC outdoor environments from movement and physical activity perspectives in five Nordic countries.
