Biography

Affiliated with the Research Centre for Contemporary Culture Studies and The Centre of Excellence in Game Culture Studies (CoE Gamecult). Working on the project Kieliviha/Språkhat/Language relationships.

Research interests

About research: My research combines cultural and media studies, tourism studies, literary and cultural geographies, game studies, and fan studies. Doctoral dissertation on Tove Jansson, belonging, situated reading, and literary tourism. Postdoctoral research projects focus on media tourism, fantasy tourism, game fandoms, fan cultures, transcultural media reception, and hate speech.
