I am Dean of the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics since 2014 with strong experience in higher education leadership and quality management. As Professor in Corporate Environmental Management, my area of expertise is in sustainability transition of business. I have participated in several international research groups and published in leading international journals of my research area. Currently, I am Finnish representative and Co-Chair of EASAC’s (European Academies Science Advisory Council) Energy Steering Panel, Member of the AACSB European Advisory Council, and Board Member of GRLI (Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative). I also work with sustainability challenges of business as Board Member in major Finnish corporations in asset management and insurance.
Pesonen's research supports businesses in defining their sustainability challenges, goals and strategies, and offers tools for assessment of product sustainability.
