Joakim Särkivuori

I have graduated from the University of Jyväskylä with a Master's degree in Sports Sciences, specializing in the Social Sciences of Sports. These studies had a strong sociological emphasis. After working in the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences for a while, I moved to the School of Business and Economics to pursue my doctoral dissertation in the discipline of management and leadership.  In JSBE, I work in the research project "Managing Social Sustainability of Sport." The topic of my dissertation is elite sports workplaces and their relationship with social sustainability. In addition to this, my research interests include sports journalism and sports media.
