Biography

I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences and the Gerontology Research Center at the University of Jyväskylä. In my doctoral thesis, I examined the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on different dimensions of mobility—such as physical activity and life-space mobility—among community-dwelling older adults in Finland. My research focuses on mobility in ageing populations, particularly on how physical functioning shapes older adults’ mobility, participation in everyday activities, and ability to age actively in the community.
