Biography

As a senior lecturer, my tasks include teaching, research and development work to support the pedagogical competence and internationalisation of the university as a whole. My work includes tasks related to supporting and strengthening the multilingual and intercultural communication competence of students and staff. I teach intercultural communication and collaborate with international experts and colleagues on a number of courses.

Research interests

My research interests include a broad range of multilingual and intercultural interaction phenomena. In recent studies, my colleagues and I have examined the development and formation of multilingual and intercultural communication competence in higher education and working life. My research has also looked at social networks and networking from an interpersonal perspective, both in business and among immigrants. I have also been involved in a research project on media literacy and media practices among immigrant families.
