Biography
I am a Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Music, Art, and Culture Studies. I hold two Master's Degrees – one in Music Education and one in Musicology – and I am a qualified teacher of both music and psychology. My dissertation is part of ERC-funded MUSICONNECT research project. My main research interest lies in how music can support young people's psychological development and well-being.
Research interests
In my dissertation, I explore how young people use music in their everyday lives and how everyday musical engagement can foster a sense of connectedness to the self, others and the world. Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods, my PhD research aims to widen our understanding of how such engagement can contribute to their psychological growth, development and overall well-being.
