I am a Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Music, Art, and Culture Studies. I hold two Master's Degrees – one in Music Education and one in Musicology – and I am a qualified teacher of both music and psychology. My dissertation is part of ERC-funded MUSICONNECT research project. My research focuses particularly on how everyday music listening strengthens experiences of connectedness in youth and supports young people's psychosocial development.
In my doctoral research, I explore the role of everyday music listening in young people's lives, with a particular focus on how listening to music can strengthen their sense of connection to themselves, others, and the world around them. I use qualitative research methods, particularly digital ethnography and interviews. My aim is to deepen understanding of the meanings young people attach to music listening in their everyday lives and how music can strengthen their experiences of connectedness.
