Biography

Assistant Professor at the University of Jyväskylä's Faculty of Information Technology and the University Consortium Chydenius. My ambition is to transform our living spaces into truly intelligent environments through novel cyber-physical systems. My research focuses on innovative software architectures and engineering methodologies, specifically for AI, IoT, and the Cloud-Edge Continuum. Physical hardware and networks also feature prominently in my research. I teach and supervise M.Sc. and Ph.D. students in these fields.

Research interests

I aim to revolutionize the way we live by integrating cutting-edge cyber-physical systems into our habitats, making them genuinely smart. My scholarly pursuit zeroes in on novel software frameworks and state-of-the-art engineering methods tailored for AI, IoT, and the Cloud-Edge Continuum. My work also extensively delves into the realms of physical hardware and network infrastructures. In the academic setting, I mentor and educate graduate and doctoral candidates within these specialized domains.
