Biography

I work as a university teacher in quantitative research methods at the Faculty of Education and Psychology. In addition, I supervise doctoral students.

Research interests

My current research, conducted as part of the concluded OneChild project (2022-2025) funded by the Research Council of Finland, addresses the topical issue of declining fertility in Finland. Approaching the topic from the perspective of multidisciplinary family studies, I examine how first-time parents’ and parental couples’ experiences of the transition to parenthood, early parenting, and work–family reconciliation influence their decisions about having a second child.
