Biography
I work as the peadogical director of JSBE and as university teacher in the management and leadership discipline at JSBE. My duties are focused on teaching and development: they include teaching management in Finnish and English, supervising theses, but also strategic-level pedagogical management and development work. My responsibilities include teaching in our joint international master's program of the School of Business and Economics and the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences: "Responsible Management and Business of Sport (RESPO)". I also serve as a student wellbeing advisor for JSBE students.
The topic of my doctoral dissertation is management and organization from an ethical and responsible perspective. I focus in particular on social movement organizations, the ethics of care, caring and vulnerability in the context of organizing end-of-life care.
If I could give my younger self advice about academic life, it would be: "Don't compare yourself to others. Patience is key. Remember to enjoy the small (and big) moments of happiness."
