Inverse problems university network

Inverse Problems Network is a free network for researchers working the area of Inverse problems. The goal is to make studies related to inverse problems available for any doctoral student across the network.

The aim of this network is to make studies related to inverse problems available for any doctoral student across the network. At the moment the following universities are preparing this agreement:

  • University of Jyväskylä (JYU)
  • Aalto University (Aalto)
  • University of Helsinki (HY)
  • Tampere University (TAU)
  • University of Oulu (Oulu)
  • University of Eastern Finland (UEF)
  • LUT university (LUT)

This network is coordinated by the University of Jyväskylä. This network is related to the DREAM doctoral pilot and is in close collaboration with the FAME flagship.

Registration to courses is possible via SISU or PEPPI.

Courses available

Below you will find a preliminary list of the upcoming courses that are available starting from August 2025. If the course has lectures this academic year, the dates are indicated below. 

There will also be the yearly Jyväskylä Summer School where we will organize inverse problems related courses. See the homepage of inverse problems in JSS for previous courses and upcoming courses (updated during spring/summer).

If you want to find more information about a specific course then you want to check that course on either SISU or PEPPI, depending on the university:

  • SISU universities: JYU, LUT, TAU, Aalto, HY
  • Peppi universities: UEF, OULU

Currently you can use this network if your degree program is in the network agreement. See below for a list of degree programs.
