Service areas in Student and Academic Services

The service area for Education Governance and Development support consists of three teams: Education Governance Support, Education Development Support and Digitalisation of Education Services. The service area is led by Head of Development Kaisa Lällä.

We offer services to students, teachers and faculties and independent institutes that organize teaching. Our core services include guidance, study counselling, developing the curricula and teaching schedules, development support and daily study administration tasks. Our teams also participate in the preparation and implementation of decisions and documents concerning education as well as the development of the education. The service manager is Maija Pöyhönen.

The service area includes student customer service and the combined processes of continuous learning and degree education services. We provide services for degree students and students completing continuous studies. The service manager is Elina Ratalahti.

Services for Student Admission and Doctoral Studies are responsible for planning, coordinating, developing and implementing services related to student admissions, applicant counselling, student recruitment and support for postgraduate education. Our services are aimed at all faculties and independent institutes of the University of Jyväskylä. This service area also includes Statistics Advisory. The service manager is Tiina Hemminki.

We are in charge of planning, coordinating, developing and implementing services related to international student and staff mobility, student recruitment, international cooperation and support and guidance for international students. The service manager is Heta Koski.
