Jyväskylä Summer School - a fun time learning in an international environment!

Jyväskylä Summer School, organized at the University of Jyväskylä this year for the 33rd time, offers participants the chance to advance their academic expertise in STEM – science, technology, engineering, mathematics – while creating scientific networks and memories. It is also a great opportunity to spend time in an international science community. Jyväskylä Summer School will be organized 5 -16 August.

Jyväskylä Summer School offers courses for advanced Master’s students, PhD students and post-docs in various fields of natural sciences, mathematics and information technology. All courses are taught in English by distinguished researchers from all over the world. Thus, the School provides students with an excellent opportunity to participate in a large number of courses and benefit from high-quality interdisciplinary teaching. 

For the students of the University of Jyväskylä, the Summer School offers a chance to take part in interesting summer courses and get international experience on the home campus. Students enrolled at the University of Jyväskylä apply by signing up for the courses in Sisu. 

Participation in all Summer School courses is free of charge. Students from all over the world are encouraged to apply. 

Jyväskylä Summer School aims to offer flexible study modes. In 2024 most of the courses will be arranged in person, but also a few in hybrid mode or online. 

The application period for the Summer School is 1 March – 6 May (extended application deadline).
