Cross-Institutional Studies

As a JYU degree student, you can take courses offered through network studies or cross-institutional studies of other finnish higher education institutions. Studies can be included in your degree.

Cross-institutional study refers to completing studies at another Finnish higher education institution through inter-institutional study networks.

To complete studies as a cross-institutional student at the University of Jyväskylä, both your own degree programme/subject and the degree programme at the University of Jyväskylä that offers the course you are interested in must belong to the same cross-institutional study network.

Cross-institutional study is only possible if your right to study at your home higher education institution is valid and you are registered as an attending student.

If you are a student at another higher education institution and wish to take courses through cross-institutional study at the University of Jyväskylä, please read the instructions and check with your home institution which cross-institutional study networks your subject or degree programme belongs to.
