Application to the JYU Venture Capital Pitching Day 2026
What happens when ambitious founders meet investors, and promising university research gets a chance to become the next deep-tech success story?
Join us on 11 December 2026, from 11:00 to 17:00, at the University of Jyväskylä Main Building (Päärakennus), Jyväskylä, Finland, for a day dedicated to startup investment opportunities, research commercialisation, and the technologies shaping tomorrow.
We are opening three application pathways:
🚀 1. Startup Track — For startups seeking investment
Have a company and looking for funding? This track is open to startups worldwide.
• Submit a preliminary pitch deck of up to 10 slides.
• Pitch for 4 minutes, followed by 4 minutes of questions.
• Get evaluated by a VC panel on investability.
🏆 Minimum prize for the winning startup: €5,000
📅 Application deadline: 25 November 2026
🔬 2. R2B Student Pitcher Track — For individuals interested in commercialising research
Are you a student, researcher, professor, or aspiring entrepreneur interested in bringing research, technology, or deep-tech innovation to market?
• Ten research and technology cases will be pre-screened.
• Thirty students will be selected to pitch, with three matched to each case for introductions and preparation.
• Ten students will advance to the finals.
• Each pitch consists of 2 minutes, followed by 2 minutes of questions.
🏆 Minimum prize: €2,000, awarded directly to the presenting individual(s) as recognition.

🧪 3. Research / Deep Tech Case Submission — For researchers and research teams
Do you have a promising research result, technology, or deep-tech innovation with commercialisation potential?
Submit your case for consideration and an opportunity to gain visibility among investors and explore potential commercialisation pathways. You may optionally include a one-page, non-confidential PDF summary.
