During the spring, the Jyväskylä Universities work has been in an orientation phase. What has happened during the orientation phase? What has been the general atmosphere during the process of building the group? What happens next? And when will the effects of the group preparation become apparent in the student's daily life?

Rectors Jari Ojala and Vesa Saarikoski answer these questions in a video. Video is subtitled in English.

"The orientation phase has been a phase of engagement, and hundreds of people from both organisations have participated in the work. The good spirit prevailing in group preparation is largely based on the fact that we have gotten to know each other as the work progresses, which also creates trust and openness, which is also visible outside our organizations," Saarikoski sums up the past spring.

"After the summer, we will move on to the concept development phase, where we will make concrete decisions and choices about which projects we will pilot and promote. During the spring, the plans have been polished together to make them as good as possible, so it is easy to promote a common future in the autumn," Ojala says about the plans for the autumn.
