Biography
I am researching intergenerational and intragenerational learning at work and human sustainability in working life within the healthcare and ICT sectors as part of the Towards sustainability of multigenerational learning at work (GENTRY) research project. The aim of the research is to promote learning at work, the sharing of knowledge, and the human sustainability of working life and workplace learning. The research helps to understand how workplaces can support learning, the sharing of expertise, and the sustainability of working lives for people of all ages in a changing world of work.
In 2027, I will begin my doctoral research, in which I will examine how those working in project-based knowledge work construct and shape their careers, and what factors support or undermine the sustainability of their careers. I am particularly interested in issues relating to career agency, career transitions, learning at work, and the human sustainability of working life.
My expertise relates to learning at work, sustainable working life, project work, career paths, career agency, and changes in the world of work. I am happy to discuss these themes from the perspectives of research, development and collaboration.
