I study occupational well-being, career development, and their underlying determinants using both quantitative and qualitative research methods. My research draws on large-scale longitudinal studies of diverse occupational groups, as well as data collected within work organizations. In recent years, my work has focused on the acceleration of working life and the ways in which changing career demands affect employees’ well-being, productivity, and career development.
I currently lead the Towards Future Careers (ToFuCa) consortium, funded by the Research Council of Finland. The consortium examines ongoing transformations in working life and the conditions that support sustainable careers. Our research focuses on changing career demands, career shocks, and career sustainability in a rapidly evolving world of work.
As Vice Dean, I am responsible for administrative duties related to supporting and developing the Faculty’s research activities, and I serve as the Head of the Doctoral Programme in Education and Psychology.
