Research group description

The Education, Texts and Technologies (ETT) research group conducts interdisciplinary research on the relationships between education and training, texts and technologies. Our research topics are diverse. At the moment, the focus in on issues such as:

• datafication of nonformal education, such as junior sports (the PARADOX project)
• datafication of institutional education and its implications for school practices and objectives (the MODALITY project),
• the technological conceptions of children and young people, and their professional educators (e.g., AI projects in the Innokas Network)
• people's everyday data literacies (Running with Data -project)

ETT also has its own master's thesis group, which produces around 10 theses a year.

Resolving the Ethical Paradoxes of Data-Informed Talent Identification in Junior Sports through Data Literacy (PARADOX)

The PARADOX project investigates and addresses the ethical challenges in data-informed talent identification processes in junior sports.
