Multidisciplinary research investigates health-related themes including infection mechanisms of bacteria and viruses, antimicrobial approaches, diagnostics and development of novel approaches to understand interactions between cells and the environment.
Multidisciplinary approaches offered by the Nanoscience Center helps to solve the secrets of biological systems using tools from the cell and molecular biology, chemistry and physics. This allows researchers to understand fundamental mechanisms of cells, proteins, and viruses down to the atomic level. The information captured from these studies may be utilized for example in biomedical applications or in other biotechnological approaches.
