How to submit the required attachments?

You must submit all the necessary documents on the application form on Studyinfo by the given deadlines for your application to be considered. If you apply based on an SAT or ACT test result to the Business Innovation and Sustainability programme, remember that your test score must also arrive to the University of Jyväskylä directly from the test organiser.
You  can  find  a  full  list  of  all  the  required  attachments  in  the  admission criteria of the programme. We kindly ask you not to send us any other documents, as these  cannot  be  considered  and  only  slow  down  the  processing  of  your  application.

Can I apply if I haven't graduated?

If you are a final-year student and your high school diploma, A-levels or another qualification that gives you eligibility to bachelor-level studies is still incomplete at the time of application, you can apply. However, if you are admitted, your admission will be conditional until you graduate and submit the required final educational documents to the Admission Services of the University of Jyväskylä. Required documents must arrive by given deadlines and follow our requirements, or your admission will be cancelled.

If you graduate later or the necessary documents cannot be issued in time for you to meet our deadlines, then please wait until 2027 to apply.

In the application phase, you will be asked to provide information on your unfinished degree on the application form.

Student intake statistics

Each programme has a defined number of study places open for application. The admission rate is dependent on the number and quality of applications, which naturally vary between admission rounds. If the number of excellent applications is greater than the given number of available study seats, we may decide to accept slightly more applicants than initially announced. As there is no system for clearing, this also ensures that all the study seats will be filled in case some admitted applicants do not accept their offered study place.

Please see the link below for statistics regarding student intake to international bachelor's programme(s) at JYU.

Individual arrangements

Individual arrangements are practical adjustments the University makes to remove or reduce a disadvantage related to the applicant's disability. You may require special arrangements if you have

  • a diagnosed disability, or
  • medical condition

that affects your ability to participate in the admission process, such as hearing impairment or dyslexia.

Instructions on how to apply for individual arrangements will be updated here before the application period starts.

Good to know for minors

Please note that if you are under 18 years old when you start the studies in Finland, you are legally a minor. As a minor, practicalities regarding settling down in Finland often require consent from your parent(s). For instance, making a rental agreement, obtaining home insurance and opening a bank account oftentimes require consent from your parent(s) if you are under 18 years old.
