FAQ: after being admitted to master's programme

Here you can find answers to frequently asked questions about the next steps after receiving an admission letter.

First steps & important dates

We recommend you follow the instructions in the Ready, Set, JYU! info package (sent to your email with admission letter) and our New Student Handbook. These are great sources of information and we recommend you keep them close as you prepare for your studies as well as in the beginning of them. Below, you can also find few more Q&As to help you forward.

New student handbook

Our student ambassadors will contact some of the accepted applicants who have not accepted a study place yet, so don’t worry if you receive a call from our students. The aim of the calls is to ensure that you have the necessary and up to date information to support your decision. You can chat with our students by using Unibuddy (linked below). If you have questions, you can contact us at admissions@jyu.fi

Submitting certified documents

If you have received a conditional admission and need to send us certified copies of your educational documents, please note that we will first check and verify the documents after we receive them. Only after that can we remove the condition and make your admission final.

Due to the large volume of documents we receive, the processing time is approximately 3 weeks.
