42nd Summer Seminar of Finnish Economists 2026

The JSBE has organized the traditional summer seminar for economists since 1984. The next 42nd Summer Seminar for Finnish Economists will be held from 9 to 10 June 2026. Representatives from economics, business studies, public administration, and the business community, as well as others interested in the seminar's themes, are welcome to attend.

 Information about the seminar

  • The opening/award ceremony and keynote lectures will be in Finnish (unless otherwise stated).
  • Some parallel sessions are in English (see the titles of the presentations/title of the session).
  • There is no participation fee for the seminar, but you must register for the seminar on time.

Programme 

Overview of the programme:

  • Sessions on different topics of economics and business (in English or in Finnish)
  • The award to the last year's best forecaster of the Finnish economy (in Finnish)
  • Keynote lectures (in Finnish): Chief Economist Tuuli Koivu (Nordea) and Professor Jari Eloranta (Economic and Social History, University of Helsinki).
  • Evening programme includes cocktail party and cruise on Lake Päijänne.
