Biography

I am a senior researcher with a Ph.D. in Education and the Title of Docent in Higher Education Research. My work explores higher education from the perspectives of individuals, institutions, and systems. My research has primarily focused on academic work and identities, quality assurance in higher education, and the structural development of higher education systems. More recently, I have examined higher education students' critical thinking and writing skills. I have led a number of large-scale research projects, many of which were conducted in international collaboration. I hold multiple editorial positions, such as associate editor of a leading journal in the field of education in the Nordic countries, the Scandinavian Journal of Educational Research and series editor of the book series Transdisciplinary Perspectives in Educational Research. Additionally, I have played key roles in national and international learned societies, such as the European Educational Research Association (EERA). I am a widely sought-after reviewer for funding agencies, such as Research Councils and the European Commission.
