Biography
I am a Research Director with a PhD in Education and hold the title of Docent in Higher Education Research. My scholarship examines higher education from the perspectives of individuals, institutions, and systems. My research has primarily focused on academic work and identities, quality assurance and assessment in higher education, and the structural development of higher education systems. More recently, my work has extended to the study of higher education students’ critical thinking and argumentation skills.
I have led numerous large-scale research projects, many of which have been carried out in international collaboration. I hold several editorial roles, including Associate Editor of the Scandinavian Journal of Educational Research, a leading journal in the field of education in the Nordic countries, and Series Editor of the book series Transdisciplinary Perspectives in Educational Research. In addition, I have played key roles in national and international learned societies, notably the European Educational Research Association (EERA). I am also a widely sought-after reviewer for major funding bodies, including national research councils and the European Commission.
